The 40th animal fair of the County Society, now in progresa on the grouuds in this city, is booming uhead in great sliape. Yesterday beini the first or entry dav, the Secretary's books show a. long and excellent üst of entries, and the grounds are being covered with many tilines that will serve to attract the orowds and keep thern good natured. Oandy and peanut stands, the "Flying Dutchman," and all such things are amusing the children to-dny, which is "Children's Day," wlth all the youngsters in town admitted free. The poütical days are llkely to be a success also. To-day the Union Labor and Greenback orators enligbten the people, together 1th the prohibitlon speaker. To-morrow Is the "Uepublican Day," and besides Thos. Mceigh, EQ of I)ètroi., Ho„. E. P. Allen, member of Conifiess of this district will be present and talk to the assembled multitudes, and that there will be multitudes present is certain if the weather clerk. for once in the history of the society, smllea upon the occasion. Friday is the "Democrat Day " When Senator McDonnU), of Indiana is expected to talk democracy to those who wlsh to hear it.
