Chicago - Attorneys for Walt Disney Productions have filed suit to stop reproductions of Disney cartoon characters on posters and tee shirts in a 'lewd, drug-addictive manner."
One poster, the attorneys said, showed Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy sitting around a water pipe with dazed looks on their faces.
Another portrayed the Seven Dwarfs, Dumbo the Elephant, Tinker Bell, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck in poses suggestive of a "love-in", the attorneys said and another showed Mickey Mouse using a hypodermic needle.
The suit said Disney Productions has worked "to acquire the image of innocent delightfullness known and loved by people all over the world, particularly, but not only, by children.
"Some of the cartoons portrayed by these people are pornographic," a Disney attorney said. Named in the suit were the operations of several stores in Chicago's Old Town area, other local business firms and SPECIALTY PRODUCTS of Memphis, Tenn.
