According to columnist Jack Anderson, White House Plumber G. Gordon Liddy, in January of 1971, attended a private showing of an old Nazi propaganda film, featuring Adolph Hitler. The private showing, says Anderson, was held at the National Archives and was arranged by Robert Mardian of the Justice Department for members of the department's internal security division.

Anderson says that others in the audience report that Liddy seemed to be particularly enraptured by the film, which depicted Adolph Hitler coming out of the clouds to rescue Germany.

At the end of the film, Anderson says, Liddy emotionally stood up, turned around to face the audience, and addressed them in German.  --ZODIAC
