A Tribute To Lightnin' Slim

Lightnin' Slim passed away 2 weeks ago. He was a well-known, soulful blues guitarist who toured all over the US and Europe, and is best remembered locally for his appearance at the 1973 Blues and Jazz Festival. Slim also used to play at the Blind Pig in A2 a couple of times each year. He'II always be remembered by those of us who got to know him.

Some of Lightnin' Slims original 1950's blues hits have recently been re-issued on the Excello label, and are now available, leaving a living memory to this great artist.
