-Thephia Repositery gives the fullowingas the lalest statistics of the various churches in the United States. The editor says, that he wíl! readily correct any mistakes. Methodist. - Total number of comraunicants, 844,816; travelling preachers, 3,743; local preachers, 6,022; total number of preachers, 10,365: population, 5,000,000. Baptist - Associations, 411; churchee, 6,942; ordained ministers, 3.851, mem bers, 501,194; population, 3,000,000. Roman Caiholic. - Bishops, 17; priests, 528; population, estimated at 1,300,000. Protestant Episcopal. - Bishops, 19, presbylers and deacons, 1,040. The nurnber of persons, including the communicanis, who altend and support the church are estimated at 1.000,000. Presbyterian (Üld School.) - Churches, 1,850; ministers 1,346; communicau's, 150,000; population, 1,000,000. Presbyierian (New School.)- Churches 1,225; communicunts, 120,000; populalion. 800,000.
