The Hurón Presbystcry have passed a resolulion declaring that lbose members of their churches who hold to the doctrine ofChristian Perfection, as taught by President Mahan and the Oberlin Evangelist, ought, ns honest men and Chriístians, peaceably to loave the Churches with which they ara connected. 03" A pin making machine has been invented by Joim Slocum, and is now in Bucce9sful operation at Poughkeepsie, N. Y. it is stated, on the anffcority of Ilon. Charles Johnson, of the last Congress, that Mr. Slocum's Manufactory produced last slimmer fiftrj tons of Pins. OirThe H'm.AsA Child, forme rly District Attorney for Connecticut, and lately President of the Norwich and Worcester RailRoad company, has abscondcd with abont 40,000 obtained from that conipany by pecu'ation and forgery. It is supposed that he is moving toward Texas. OCrThe Kev. Dr. Johnson, slavkiioldER, preached in Albany on Sumlay, May I6th, in the Rev. Dr. Welch's church in that city. The same Dr. Johnson left Albany for the South, on Sabbath aftornoon, in a Sabbalh breaking steamboat.
