We beheve the nomination presented y the late National Convention, will cali brth universal approbation among the ried friends of Liberty. The unanimity f the vote, spontaneous as it was, and withut concert; will not fail to be observed y all, both friends and foes. There were ñany who thought it due to Mr. Earle to tand by himwho hadso generously stood iy us, and a considerable niimber voted br him; bul they all acquiesced cordially n the will of the majority. Not an indiidual that we heard, expressed the sliglit:st abatement of confidence and respect owards Mr. Earle, but had the majority ieen for hirrc, we have no doubt the conurrence would bive been equally unanifjousand hearty. Many, however, thought t quite material that the North West hould be represented on our ticket, and ome were influenced also by a wish to lace Thomas Morris in the chair of theSenate, as a mark of national reprobation of theservile policy which thrust him out of his seat in that Senate.
