At a meetincr in Detroit of the fricnds of (he enslaved, on the 13th inst., the undertiuned vvere appointed a committee of correspondence in reference to the cali oà a county convention for nominaling candidates for the r.egislature of ibis State, and county officers, at the next ensuing election. M. Under existing circumstancs it is deorncd 1 ndvisable not to restrict the iiuinber of delegales to the proportionate popuiation of the several towns ar corporalions, but for each to send as many as practicable with the view to secure the fuüest expression of opiuion ofthe independent electore.
