The Ann Arbor Art Association is adding
"Art Center" to the end of its name to try to
make its building at 117 W. Liberty St. seem
more accessible and welcoming to the public.
Marsha Chamberlin executive director of
the Ann Arbor Art Association Art Center,
says she wciiuo the public to know that the
center is more than just a gallery or store, and
that the entire building and its activities are
open to everyone.
Other changes include a sign by the stairs
inviting visitors to the second-floor ArtVen-

make it more recognizably a public place. The
workshop is a drop-in art activity center for all
ages, featuring the arts of cultures from
around the world.
