A wedding ceremony took place
Kalamazoo at 4 o'clock Satur-

; afternoon, uniting Jean Klaerr
i Walsh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
J. K. Walsh, and Eck N. Stanger
of Fourth St., son of Mrs. Theophil
Stanger. The service was read
at the home of the bride's parents
by Dr. Wirt Dunning, president of
Alma College and former pastor of
the First Presbyterian church at
Kalamazoo. Only the members of
the immediate families were pres-
ent for the ceremony.

^Honey beige crepe was worn by
Miss Walsh. A distinctive feature
of the dress of street length, was
the trimming of embroidered net
dyed to match the crepe and set in
a band at the shoulder line and
at the long torso line of the bas-
que where the skirt was shirred
across the front. The simple neck-
line was round and the sleeves
short. With this the bride wore
a black straw hat with a scarf
drapery of beige jersey. On her
shoulder was a corsage of flame-
colored snapdragons and blue
irises.

Attended By Sister

The bride's only attendant was
her sister, Priscilla Crum, who
wore a gray-green shantung dress
in a light shade with a matching
jacket and with black and white
accessories. Her corsage was made
of daisies and daffodils.

Mr. Stanger's brother, Prof. Rol-
and J. Stanger of the law faculty
of Ohio State University at Colum-
'(tiss. was his best man. |

it's. Walsh chose a sheer wool
oic^s of light blue-green with
matching accessories ano her cor-
sage was made of violets and pink
rosebuds. Mrs. Stanger, the bride-
groom's mother, wore dusty rose
crepe with a flower turban in rose
and purple shades and she had
a corsage of lavender sweet peas
and yellow roses.

Dinner Follows Ceremony

A wedding dinner was served at
the Park club after the ceremony

the couple left for the new
home they have built at 2809
Brockman Blvd. The only guests
from out of town for the wedding
were Gerda Stanger of Toledo, 0.,
sister of the bridegroom, and Mrs.
Dunning.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Stanger have
been members of the staff of The
Ann Arbor News, Mrs. Stanger as
rarian for more than a year.

is a graduate of Kalamazoo
, L/oiiege and a member of Kappa Pi
literary society. Her father is edi-
tor of the Kalamazoo Gazette. Mr.
Stanger, who was graduated from
the University, is head of the
photographic department of The
Ann Arbor News and a staff mem-
ber of the Ann Arbor Bureau of
the Booth Newspapers, Inc.
