Ann Arbor Sportsman Dies After Illness
Clayton B. Richards, 44, died yesterday afternoon in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was production manager for McDonald Ice Cream Co.
Born in New York state Dec. 7, 1905, he moved with his family to Ann Arbor five years ago.
He was a member of the Tri-County Sportsmen's Club, the Mio Sportsmen's Club, and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife Katherine; three daughters, Beverly Anne, Nancy Louise, and Faye Francis; a son, Lynn Charles; and a sister, Mrs. R. S. Hamlin of Detroit.
Msgr. Warren Peek will officiate at 10 o'clock services Friday in the Staffan-Hildinger Funeral Home. Other services will be held Monday in Saugerties, N. Y., where burial will take place in West Camp Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
