Winford H. Griffith
Golf Course Employe
Dies Suddenly At Home

Winford H. Griffith, 64, an employe of the Stadium Hills Golf Course, died suddenly this morning at his home, 821 Baker Rd., Scio township.
Born in Weston, Mich., on Sept. 13, 1883, he was a son of John and Eliza Hass Griffith.
Mr. Griffith was married in Kentucky to Miss Sally Leckey on April 19, 1915. She survives.
He had lived in Ann Arbor since 1916 and moved to the Baker Rd. address four years ago. Mr. Griffith had been employed at the golf course for the past seven years, and at the Gill Lumber Co. prior to that.
Besides his wife, he leaves a stepson, Col. G. R. Johnston of Kirksville, Mo., and a brother, Wilford of Alliance, Neb.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel.
