D. íJeliker, has opeued a Temperance , house on the corner of Michigan and Washington Avenues, in the city of Detroit. , The house is relired from the noise and bustle of the city, and Mr. H. wiJI do all n his power to render his house a pleasent retreat for the vveary traveler. Let the friends of temperance remember this when they visit Detroit."I f yon had employee! the nght kind of agents, Idontknow buf I might have been an abolitionist!'" - A Connecticut Doctor of Divinity. Connecticut ie not the ouly State where this trait of human nature is exhibited. - Neither is it confined to those who have been Doctcred. There are not a fev 'm each free Stato who might possibly have thought of becoming abolitioniBts, if people would only wait till they get ready to act, and do nothing without their consent. We read much. in the papers about Mason and Dixon's line. The line betueen PennBylvania and Maryland is so called frotn two gentlemen hearing those namee, who were appointed Commissioners to determine the boundary belvveen the two provinces, and this line was established by them in 1762.
