.ITother! when around your child You c)a8p your arras in love, And when with gratefu! joy you raiae Your eyea to God above. Think of the negro mother, when Her child is torn away, Sold for a little slave, - oh then For the poor mother prayi Father! when'er your happy boys You look upon with prtde, And pray to see thcm, when you're old All blooming by your side; Think of that father's withered heart, The father of a slave, Who aska a pitymg God to give His little son a grave.
