Retired Tailor
Dies At Age 90
Alex Thell, 90, a retired Ann Arbor tailor, died Thursday night at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
For the past several years, he had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sperry of 517 Benjamin St. He formerly lived on S. Fourth Ave.
He was born Jan. 31, 1866, in Sweden. He came to Ann Arbor as a young man and was married to Ella Burnett of Ann Arbor. Mrs. Thell died Oct. 29, 1929.
Mr. Thell is survived by a son, Gustave of Chicago.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Muehlig Chapel, with the Rev. Erland J. Wangdahl officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
