Albert G. Eisele
Stonecutter Had Lived
In City Since 1926
Albert G. Eisele, one of the last of the old-time stonecutters in this county, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 3055 Hilltop Dr., after a long illness.
Born in Alsace-Lorraine on Feb. 14, 1874, he was the son of Martin and Eva Meyer Eisele. They brought him to Chelsea when he was nine years old.
He moved to Ann Arbor in 1926.
He was married to Wilhelmina M. Koch in Chelsea in 1897. She preceded him in death as did two sons, Robert and Ambrose.
Surviving are two sons, Leo of Ann Arbor and Paul of Chelsea; three daughters, Mrs. William Webber of Chelsea, Mrs. Kenneth Royal of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Floyd Spenser of Birmingham; and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at St. Mary's Church in Chelsea with Rev. Lee Laige officiating. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 Thursday night at Staffan Funeral Home in Chelsea. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Chelsea.
