Lester L. McAfee
PINCKNEY — Lester L. McAfee of 4115 E. M-36, Pinckney, died suddenly Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Clago of Downey, Calif.
He was born July 11, 1896, at Cleveland, Ga., a son of John and Faye Crawford McAfee.
Mr. McAfee was a Navy veteran of World War I with service in the Azores area, and a retired stationary engineer with Ford Motor Co. at Detroit.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Ellen Waterbury of Dexter, Miss Leslie McAfee, at home, and Mrs. Clago a sister, Mrs. Anna Morris of Cleveland, Ga., and a brother, Howard of Colorado.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Hamburg with Deaconess Olive Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Pinckney Cemetery. Friends may call at the Swarthout Funeral Home.
