Joseph Charles
Ann Arbor, MI
Age 81, died January 13, 2002. He was born in Tawas, MI on January 26, 1920, the son of Harry and Pearl Kooperman. He owned K&K Service Station with his brother, Jacob (Clara) who survives. He later retired from the Ann Arbor City Water Department. Joseph also served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 and was honorably discharged. He married Lucille Shipe on October 12, 1946 and she preceded him in death. In retirement, he enjoyed walking, working in the yard, and watching his grandchildren grow up. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna (Randy) Seilheimer of Vicksburg, MI and Cheryl (Philip) Morosco of Oak Hill, VA; his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph (Nancy) Kooperman of Brighton, MI; six grandchildren, Michael, David and Carrie Seilheimer, Anthony Morosco, and Claire and Keith Kooperman. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Simon and David. Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 18 at the MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL with Pastor Gregory Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
