Dies At Age Of 51
HOWELL - Byron James White, 51, of 234 S. National Ave., an automobile mechanic died yesterday morning in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor. He had been ill only a few days.
Born in Byron township, Shiawassee county, on Nov. 8, 1898, he was a son of Harvey J. and Augusta Jacobs White. He had lived in the Howell area most of his life.
In 1920, Mr. White married Fern Williams of Howell. She survives.
Mr. White operated an automobile repair business from his home.
He also leaves four sons, Claude, Duane, Lyle and Richard, and four daughters, Misses Dorothy, Evelyn, Barbara and Judy, all of Howell; two brothers, Foster of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Jesse of Howell; and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Wellman of Lansing and Mrs. Hortense Rohr of Hopkins, Mich.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Evangelical Church, Rev. Frederick Pohly officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schnackenberg Funeral Home.
