Darwin E. White Dies In Hospital
Had Been Photographer Here For 53 Years
Darwin E. White, 79, a commercial photographer in Ann Arbor for the past 53 years, died this morning at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a three week's illness. His home was at 910 S. State St.
Mr. White was born March 29, 1872, in Allegan, Mich., a son of Herman and Jane Buskirk White. He came to Ann Arbor 53 years ago and had operated a photographic studio at 110 E. Huron St. ever since.
He was married to the former Miss Agnes Perkins of Ann Arbor on May 9, 1899. Mrs. White, who survives, had been associated with her husband at the studio from the time of their marriage until four years ago.
Mr. White was a member of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 259, F & AM; and the Zal Gaz Grotto.
Surviving besides his wife are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Muehlig Chapel, with Rev. Erland J. Wangdahl officiating. Graveside services at Forest Hill Cemetery will be conducted by officers and members of the Golden Rule Lodge. Friends may call at the chapel.
