Dies At 36 After Illness
YPSILANTI - Mrs. Dora Simpson, 36, of 1265 Swansea Ct., Willow Village, wife of William T. Simpson, died early this morning at Beyer Memorial Hospital here after a long illness.
She was born June 7, 1913, at Muddy, Ill., a daughter of Thomas and Ora Corbitt Tuttle, and spent her early life in and around Harrisburg, Ill.
She was married to Mr. Simpson on May 4, 1940.
Surviving besides her husband are her mother, of Harrisburg, Ill.; a daughter by a previous marriage, Mrs. Sibyl Swansey of Pontiac; another daughter, Lois Simpson at home; and one grandchild.
Also aurviving are a half-brother, Charles Hutchinson of Colorado; three brothers, Jesse G. of Ypsilanti, and Floyd and Howard of Harrisburg, Ill.; and five sisters, Mrs. Nellie Holliday of Pontiac, Ill., Mrs. Flora Kinney of Fayetteville, N. C., Mrs. Juretta Littlefield of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Freda Lawrence of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Nora Wombles of Indianapolis, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Geer Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenneth Aldrich of Garden City officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
