March Of Time Film Shows Newsmen At Work Covering War
“On Foreign Newsfronts," the latest issue of the March of Time, comes to the Majestic theater today, and brings to the screen the story of the first year of the present war by showing how American newsmen are covering the biggest event In modem history.
To show why the United States today is the last stronghold of a free press and Its citizens the best informed in the world, the March of Time takes theater audiences behind the scenes of such great news gathering organizations as the New York Times and the press associations: The Associated Press. The United Press, and the International News Service.
Problems created by foreign censorship and expulsion of correspondents are treated by the film. It also shows how editors, struggling to provide their readers with the truth, are analyzing their dispatches in the fight to weed out propaganda and present the facts.
