‘Varsity Night’ Program Listed
Tap Dancers, Vocalists To Assist Band Tomorrow
Vocalists, a tap dancer and at least one prominent radio sports broadcaster will join the University Band members in “strutting their stuff” before students, townspeople and others in the “Varsity Night” program starting at 8 o’clock tomorrow night in Hill auditorium.
Other features will be a quiz contest, conducted by Prof. John L. Brumm, and instrumental solos. Harry Wismer, WJR sports broadcaster, has given assurance that he will be a guest speaker on the program, and Ty Tyson, WWJ sports broadcaster, will speak here unless last-minute developments prevent his attendance.
This will be the fourth annual “Varsity Night.” Funds derived from the show this year will be used in part to defray expenses of the band’s trip to Chicago for the Michigan-Chicago game.
