-In Lowell. Mass., Mr. Knapp hasbeen preaching eometime with much success. - About two hundréd have united with St Paul'B Church, during two or three weeks. One hundied and twelve were bnptized in one Sabbath. - The pastor of the Freevvill Baptist Church esti mated that ono hundred were converted in one week. Mr. Finney, of Oberlin, has been preaching in Rochcster, N. Y., for somc time past, with mach success. At a meeting of the citizens of Dover. N. H . o" all denomínations and parties, they resolved as "ollows: "Whcrcas, we are denied the right, by the slavehoiders to interfere in any manner wiih slavery in the Southern States, - therefore Resolved, That we will not interfere to protect it, cilher by men, arms or ammunition, or by lirusting back fugitives into their prison house, and we pledge to all who may take refuge among s the same protection which we ciaim for ourselves."
