its present location, 125 S. Main
St., on April 1, 1893, to transact
commercial and savings banking.
Since 1929 the bank also has op-
erated a trust department which
has developed into a sizeable part
of the bank’s operations.
In 1954 two branches were es-
tablished, one at Packard St. and
E. Stadium Blvd. and one at
Washtenaw Rd. and Pittsfield
Blvd., to conduct general bank-
ing, The branches include drive-
in facilities.
Plans have beenncompleted for
an addition to the main office
of 40 by 110 feet. Construction
,will _begin late this year or the
fearly part of next year. This will
be the second’ major iexp-ansion, in
20 years. - f
