- The Tribune says thathe knowing ones at Washington have ducovered thnt "the ticket which as yet combines the greatest Loco Föco strength at Washington - is composed of John C. Calhotn, of South Carolina for President, nnd Leii Woodbury of New Hampshire, for Vice President. On this ticket the full strength of Nullification, ultra-Free-Trade. ultraSlavery at the North to mistaken Southern policy can be rallied." So the good people of the North are to be offered their choice bet ween a couple of invetérate slave bieeders for President - Henry Clay. and John O. Calhoun. The South is very liberal to give the North the privilege of a choice between her noble sons. The South have had a President 44 out of 53years. and why shouW they not have one all the time? The slaveholders can find candidates and Northern Freemen can vote for therri - a most delightful arrangement! By the way, our friend of the Advertiser seems to fear we are already engaged for the elevntion of thnt philosophïcal systematic woman-tchipper, Calhoun. He can dismiss his fears on that subject - we have no panialities lor either of this noble pair of brothers. On tHe first pige will bc found an intereetin-fcoiniJiuiiicuiun f'rotn Rev. Wm A. Bronsun, the Baptist clergymnn of Marshall. We. hope our friends of that denominntion will read it attcntively.
