BRIGHTON - Myron Williard Hendrick, 69, of 6343 Winans Lake Rd., died in a Pontiac hospital Saturday afternoon following a cerebral hemorrhage. He was a former school teacher and farmer, a past supervisor of Hamburg township, and for many years manager of the Lakeland Golf and Country Club.
He was born Oct. 31, 1880, the son of Williard W. and Marian Jones Hendrick, and spent his early life on a farm at Winans Lake.
Mr. Hendrick attended both Brighton and Ann Arbor High Schools and taught in the Winans Lake School for four years before taking a position in the Hamburg General Store.
On March 12, 1907, he was married to Bertha Rosenkrans. The couple lived on the Winans Lake farm until 1922, when Mr. Hendrick took over the management of the Lakeland Golf and Country Club. He retired to the farm in 1935.
He was a member of the Hamburg Lodge, IOOF, and of the North Hamburg Church. He was a past clerk as well as a former supervisor of Hamburg township.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Albert F. Geahl of South Bend, Ind.; a grandson; and three sisters, Dr. Rhoda G. Hendrick of Jackson, Mrs. L. S. Winans of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. W. C. Teller of Leeming, Tex.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Keehn Funeral Home in Brighton, with Rev. J. M. McLucas of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Hamburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
