Resident of Methodist Home In Chelsea Dies
CHELSEA - Frederick Postlethwaite died yesterday morning in a hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 27. He was 83 years old.
Born in Keswick, England, Feb. 3, 1867, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth Postlethwaite. He was married Oct. 13, 1888 in England to Sarah Alice Lund, who died Jan. 23, 1949.
Mr. and Mrs. Postlethwaite migrated to Detroit in 1913, coming in 1933 to Chelsea to live at the Methodist Home.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. W. P. Baumont, a resident of England; a niece, Mrs. Arah Alice Roff of Detroit; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Mathew Betz, superintendent of the Methodist Home, at 9:30 Saturday in the Home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea.
