Krapf Services Planned Friday

Rural Mail Carrier Will Be Buried at Forest Hill Cemetery
Funeral services for the late Edwin C. Krapf, 54, of 933 Dewey Ave., rural mail carrier, who died suddenly Wednesday while on duty on his route, will be held at 3:30 Friday afternoon at the Muehlig chapel.
Dr. Merle H. Anderson of First Presbyterian church, of which Mr. Krapf was a member, will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery, and will be in charge of Canton, Ann Arbor, No. 30. Friends may call at the chapel.
Mr. Krapf died following a heart attack while delivering mail north of the city near the Whitmore Lake road. He had been a mail carrier at the local post office for 25 years, and had served on every rural route, being carrier on route No. 1, at the time of his death.
A member of all the local branches of the Odd Fellow order, Mr. Krapf was past grnd of Otseningo lodge, No. 9; past chief patriarch of Ann Arbor encampment, No. 7; past captain of Canton, Ann Arbor, No. 30, patriarchs militant; member of Margaret Rebekah lodge, No. 131; and a member of the general's staff of the patriarch's militant with the rank of major. Mr. Krapf also was a director of the Odd Fellow temple association and its acting treasurer.
He was affiliated with the Nation Rural Letter carriers and was a member of the Maccabee lodge. Born in Ann Arbor, Mr. Krapf had spent his entire life in this city.
He is survived by the widow, Edith M. Krapf: two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Roelofs of Battle Creek and Miss Edna Rogers of Ann Arbor; a brother, William of Ann Arbor and three grandchildren.
Members of the Canton will serve as pallbearers for the services. The Canton members and members of its auxiliary are to meet in full uniform at 2:30 Friday afternoon at Odd Fellow temple to attend the services in a body.
