Miss Katherine Coyle
WHITMORE LAKE - Miss Katherine Coyle, 83, pioneer resident of Whitmore Lake, died late Saturday at her home near here.
She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Katherine Coyle, who in 1840 obtained from the government the farm on which Miss Coyle was born and spent her entire life.
Surviving are a sister, Mary; five nephews, Father Joseph Coyle, of Ionia; Thomas Coyle, Howell; Louis Coyle, Pinckney, and Alexander and Leo Coyle, Ann Arbor, and a grandnephew, Wilbur Coyle, of Howell.
Services Tomorrow
Miss Coyle was a member of St. Patrick's church, Northfield.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., tomorrow with a solemn requiem high mass sung by Father Coyle and assisted by Fr. Joseph McCabe and Fr. William O'Rourke, Detroit, cousins of Miss Coyle. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's cemetery.
The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight by the Altar Society of St. Patrick's church.
