Said To Be Oldest Washtenaw County House: The six-room log house on M-11, west of Bridgewater, shown in the top picture, is 110 years old and is the oldest house in the county, according to Andrew Staib, who, with Mrs. Staib, is shown in the bottom picture (this picture). Mr. and Mrs. Staib plan to vacate the house early in the fall to move to Manchester. Henry Ford's representatives are interested in the history of the house and have taken pictures of the building.
