The big boulder at Hill and Washtenaw, used for graffiti by U-M students long before they thought of marking up construction fences, carries the message of the week: "Stomp State," in appropriate colors. These days the rock is more likely to bear some such phrase as "Power to the People," but for a week now it has carried that simple, old-fashioned battle cry so well understood by the Maize and Blue.
