-The Liberatorspeaksdispiiragingly of the speech of' Mr. Adama at Weymouth, The fete was given him almost entirely on account oí his defence oi the right of petilion, and after speaking nearly three hours without mentioning it, the chai rman whispered to Mr. A. who then spoke on that topic aLout ten minutes, but wilh lesa animation and interest than he displayed respecting President Tylor's vetoe8. Among other things he said he did not intend to move a repeal of the 21st rule at the next sesssion, for two reasons: the first was that auch a niotion would only make 'a blow up' ro the House! and the second was no better because that seseion would be the short one; justa though the slaveholders inight run over all the rest of the nation, for threc rr.onths. because Congrees would sit three instead of six or nine month. Should Mt. A. forsake the post he has so long occupied, there is no doubt others will be found ready to assume it, and withstand the tyranny of tbe Slave Power. EPThe Qnarterly Meeting of the State Temperance Society takrs place at Jonesvillo, on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2 o'clock P. M. The sitting will be continned the next day. fjPresident Tyler returned to Washington on Friday, Oct. 7tfa, in good healtb afl flnc spirits.
