Amos Kenuall proposed to digest into two numbers of the Expositor, to be printed in one, the arguments and facts, as well 68 those collected by hunself, as by niembers of congress,in the late discussions; showing the practical efiects of a protective taritl'. (so called) on the industry of the country with ap'propriate illustrations.- - T;iking the TarifT bilí lately become a law, he vvill show, with all practicable accuracy, how much the farmers, planters, ir.erchants, and traderF, mechanica, nnd other ennsurners, are to pay ii taxes upon every yard of cloth, pound ofsugnr, jushel of salt, plough. nxe, and every other article of general use and consumption w'hich they purchnse lor the comfort of' their families, and the advnncement of their business; to the end that overy man may be able to aecertain and benr in niind precisely bow mnch he pays f rom the producís of his labor, or frotn his income, under the system óf tnxation. The utrnost care will be taken to attain accuracy, boih in fact and argument; so that this proluction shall bea Tkxt-Book to be relied upon, ns well bv those who scek information, as by hose whp dcsire to enter the arena of discussion. They will be l'urnished to subscribers at Thkke Dolt.aks for 100 copies, or Fifty cents he dozen, to be pnid on deiivery. On Orders, posiage paid or frce, enclosingthe cash, they will be forwarded by mail at. ;he eame irices, orÍ2 1-2 cents for a single copy.
