Local Firm To Relocate, Expand

Information Control Systems, Inc., which was known as Professional Data Services previous to incorporation last May 1, announces it will move from a rental facility in Research Park to lease space of double size at 415 W. Huron effective next Friday.

David M. Carlson, president of Information Control which employs four full-time and four part-time workers, said the move was necessitated by increased business and staff.

“A new stock issue of 10,000 shares will be made to allow expansion of facilities and equipment purchases,” Carlson said.

He announced the company is purchasing new input equipment attaching it to a computer which will be joined with a teletype prime network. It will permit information-seeking country-wide between computers connected with the network.

Carlson said a new computer language called Assembly Language — Information Control Systems is being developed by Information Control’s programming staff. The concern is also developing standard routines for small computers.

It will occupy office space within the former Sundstrand-American Broach Division plant at the W. Huron location, where seven other concerns are leasing space from the Glacier Corp. headed by John Strand of Ann Arbor.

The seven other concerns are American Broach & Machine Co., Sensor Dynamics, Inc., Olmsted Products, Ripley Screen & Strainer Co., Ann Arbor Computer Corp., Rockwell-Standard Spring Co., and Jackson Glass Works.
