They had all got into a drunkenspree, and under the inlïuence of liquor, cnliced the negro into a loft. and hung him for fun, intending to cut him down in a moment or two, before life ahould be extinct. Their drünken frolic was carried too far - the negro xjied. This is one of the horrid consequencbs of making a human beinginto property.
