Professor's Wife Claimed By Death

Funeral Services Are Held This Afternoon for Mrs. Eleanor Tealdi
Mrs. Eleanor Tealdi, wife of Prof. Aubrey Tealdi of the University landscape design department, died suddenly Wednesday. Asphyxiation by illuminating gas was reported as the cause of death by Dr. Edwin C. Ganzhorn, coroner.
Private funeral services were held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the residence at 1837 Vinewood Blvd., with Rev. Henry Lewis, rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal church officiating. Interment was in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends were requested to omit flowers.
Mrs. Tealdi was actively identified with art and garden club circles of the city and was concerned specifically with the element of beauty in these interests. This had been developed considerably through her intense interest in the work of her husband as professor of landscape design and director of Nichols Arboretum.
She had devoted much of her time to these interests and was an active member of the Ann Arbor Garden club and the Ann Arbor Art association. She also had been a participant in planning the annual community flower shows.
Born in February, 1885, in Ann Arbor, Mrs. Tealdi had been a lifelong resident of this city and was a graduate of the University of Michigan with the class of 1908. She was a member of Collegiate Sorosis. She was the daughter of the late Prof. and Mrs. I. N. Demmon, the former being professor of English on the University of Michigan faculty for many years.
Mrs. Tealdi is survived by her husband, a sister, Mrs. David Heineman, a niece, Mrs. John Norton and a nephew, Farnsworth Demmon.
