When it rained, it poured Wednesday in and around Ann Arbor, causing some flooding. This is the back yard of apartments on Montgomery near Bemidji after flooding from a storm sewer receded enough to allow wading by neighborhood youngsters. In the background Mrs. Gary A. Matsen of 415 Montgomery helps neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Darcel Tolle of 417 Montgomery by bailing out dirty water which flooded the Tolles' apartment. The water came up through the bath tub and flooded the bathroom and kitchen floors to a depth of two inches. Similar flooding occurred in the apartment of Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Weener at 413 Montgomery, through both bathroom and kitchen plumbing. Residents said no storm sewer serves these yards, depressed below street level on a site which was once the location of the city dump.
