Mrs. Lydia Wardle
YPSILANTI - Mrs. Lydia Wardle, wife of Waldo Wardle, Whittaker Rd., south of Ypsilanti, died Saturday afternoon at the family home after an illness of a year. She was born on a farm in Monroe county, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Richards, and on March 6, 1913, was married to Mr. Wardle, the couple making their home in Ypsilanti and vicinity since then. Surviving are the husband; two sons, Richard, at Camp Luna, N.M., and Robert, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Duane Robinson, Saline, and Miss Ruth Wardle, at home; a sister, Mrs. Albert Mayday, Ferndale; a brother, Henry J. Richards, Ypsilanti, and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Stevens & Bush funeral home here, with Rev. Robert Muir, of Ann Arbor officiating. Burial will be in Udell cemetery.
