YPSILANTI - Mrs. Etta M. Dale, 82 years old, 2641 E. Michigan Ave., who was born, married and spent her entire life in the same home, died yesterday in the home, on land which was homesteaded from the government by her ancestors and which has been in the family continuously since that time. She was the widow of the late Charles H. Dale.
She was born Jan. 11, 1861, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Beach, and in 1887 was married to Mr. Dale, the ceremony being performed in the family home. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Dale resided at the same place until Mr. Dale's death in 1922, since which time Mrs. Dale has continued to live with a daughter, Mrs. Clara Mae Kerbyon. For many years she was engaged in the floral business at the home.
She was a charter member and honorary member of the Spencer club, a community organization.
Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Kerbyson; one grandson, four great-grandchildren and one niece. Another daughter, Mrs. Bessie F. Fulton, died in 1922.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dale will be held at 1:30 Friday at the Stevens & Bush funeral home here, with Rev. Walter B. Heyler officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
