At a meeting1 of the Society held on January 4lli, it was ordered by the President that a public meeting be held on the 17th inst. at the Methodist Clmrch, for the purpose of making an annual report to the public. It w&s then requested by the President tl.at the Secreta ry draw tip a report, for the purpose of reading to the public: the meeting then adjourned. On January I7th, the meeting assembled according to appointment in the Methodist Church Bt 1 o'clock. Thé President took the chair, and called the house to order. The meeting was oponed with a prayer. The President call'd for the reading of'iho constiinl ion, ofter vvhicfi the report of the state of the finances, end donntions which have been received nnd giv'n out since the organiration of tho Society wos raad. The President then rose and called o the Secretary to read the nnoal report.
