Pursnanc to previous notice, the Liberty Party of the First Congressional District asembled in Convention in the Baptist Church, n Clinton, on the 17th instant. The Conention was called to order by C. H. Stewirt, of Detroit, and G Beckley of Washtenaw, vas called to the chair, and G. W. Bancroff, f Lena wee, was chosen Secretary. It was then moved that we proceed to an nformal ballot for a candidale for Repr?senative to Congress, to be supported by the -.berty party at. tiie ensuing election.
