F. Stevens, Chuirmao, and A. 11. Eduardo Secretan. After a few preliminary reraarks by Mr. Gurney, of St. Joseph county, the Convention woB addressed by Mr. Ripley, of New York. On mohon, tho convention procecded taballot for a ccndidate for Senator, to bo tuippoertd in November next. Whcrenpon, John P. Mirl, was unanimonsly nominaled by ihe convention. The meeting t!ien adjourncd until 8 o'clock P. JM. The Con vont ion met purauant io adjoummont. On motion ofC. Gurney. A. II. Edwards, N. AI. Thomas-, and II. Montague, were apjviinlod a conimiÃÃeo of correspomk-ncc for ihe en8ninr year. Mr. Gurnoy he'ms called npon for some remarles, responded in a ve. ry eloquent address in favor of political AntiSlnvery iciion. The omvention adjourned tint il June L3d,at 3oVlock A.M.
