Here are some energy saving tips for Windows and doors:

- Caulk and weatherstrip.

- Install storm Windows or interior plastic storm kits (In the basement, too)!

- Close an exterior door quickly each time you open it. It costs 25 cents each time the door is opened during the heating season.

- Latch Windows every time you close them.

- Put draperies or blinds on your windows. They are effective insulators.

-Hang draperies so that they extend at least four inches above, below and beyond the sides of the window.

- Reglaze Windows if necessary.

- Replace cracked windows, or tape cracks with clear tape.
