If you suspect that yours might be one of the million or more names gathered by the Detroit Police Department's secret police unit during the years 1940 thru 1975, you can request a copy of your file - no charge, no obligation. - But you must act soon. The court-authorized program organizing and distributing this information will not be able to process applications received after June 10, 1991. This program is scheduled to be completed Sept. 10, 1991, when these files will no longer be available for individual distribution.
