-A late number of thePrebytenan gives the rssolutibne recently passed by the Presbytery of Balt more at Long Green, Mnryland, from wliich it appenrs that board of Pubhcalion have been ordercd to report at the next O. S. General Assembly at Louisville on the e.vpediency of a 'Commcn lary upon tiic wliole Bible, e.vpounding ii in the sense of tlie standards of our Church.' This we believeis the first attempt of the kind among Protestants.
