Washtenaw Liberty Convention
Convention met Se.pt. 5, pnrsuant to public notice. M. Kenny was called to the chair, and T. Foster appointed 'secretory. Prayer by Dr. lloskins, of Scio. Convention proceeded to nn informn! ballot for six candidates for the Legislature, whereupon the foilowing gentlemen were unanimously designated aa the candidates of the Liberty party: Damkl Pomerot. of Salera, Josepu BE.WKTTjof AuguJta, DarÃos S. Wood, of Lodi, Ira Spacldi.xg, of Sylvan, Sabin Felch, of Ann Arbor, S. W. FosTfeR, of Scio, The folio wing gentlemen vere appointed a County Corresponding Committee: T. Foster, C. J. Galand, Sabin Feich. a uu uiiveuuüii men resojveu men uno a Senatorial Ccnvention, and M. H. Cowles, Sabin Felch, W. Jones, J. Norris, T. Hoskins, and J. Elliot, wcre appointed a committee to meel the delégales firpm Livingstonend report the name of a suilablc candidato for the State Senate. The committee reported the name of Edward F. Gay, of Livingston, as candidato from this Senatorial District, which was unanimously ratificd by the Convent ion. Closed with prayer by T. Foster and ndiounvd.
