The term "dcfaulter," we consider objectionable as conveying to the reader, sotnething more than the facts in the Mr. Frazee is a dtbtor to the Book Concerns for a sum considerabl y less thnna fhousand dollars. Againyou say: "His character ia in excretiingly bad ordor among his brethren generally," and this is placed ín such a connection with what you say about h8 location, that a person unacquainted with the facts, would infer that it was the cause of hia location . - This whole statement we believe to be incorrect. There was notbing alledged against either his ministerial, or christian character and the ceuse of his iocation was simply, that he had communicated to the Conference, tha his temporal añairs required his attention fo about one yearjand that consequcnlly hc coulnot fill an appointment for the ensuing year. Your ast remark so far as we are acquainted with the chaiacter of Mr. Frazee, we think to be not only gratuitous and unfounded, but unchristian and malicious. As we profess to have some sympathy for the injiired white man, as well as the black, we deern it due to Mr. Frazee to cali upon you to make the above corrections.
