Pursuant to public notice, the friends of Liberty of the conniy of Lenawce met at the Court House in the village ofAdnan on Saturday the sermfh insr.., to muire ncmmsrions of county ofBcers. Whereupon H. Tripp was callerl to the chair, and L. P. Perkins appointed Secretary. Upon raotion of T. Tabor, it was Rpsolved that an informal Ballot be taken for the office of Representa! ives. The result of the ballotingr was thus; Henrich W llcy 2, Stephen Allen, 7, John BICoe, 3, Henry Tripp, 4. H. Hoag, 4, Geo. L. Crane, 4, D. Carpenter, 2, James B. Wells 2. Resolved, That we take a formal ballot from the ñames bov meniioned. Risuh: Henrich W.lley, g-ot 6, Stephen Allen 9, John M. Coe, 10, Henry Tripp 1, H. Hoag l.jGeo. L. Craue 4. J3mes B. Wells 9. On metion of L. P. Perkins, it was RpsoIved that the Tour highesl from the formal ba'lotin? be considered the rpgular nomineef to represent the county of Lenawee in ïhe ensuingr Lepislatnre. Whereupon, Henrich Wilïey, of Blissfield; Stephen Allen, of Mudieon; John M. Coe, of Rome; and James B . Wells of Frnnklin weie considered candidates for the coming eleotion. Moved that the Secretary be empowered to notify the above named gentleman through the Sigrnal of their nomina tion. On rnotion, L. P. Perkins, P. Tabor, nnd J. L. Peters were nppointing a county corresponding commiitee for the ensuing venr.HENRY TRIPP, Chfn. L, P. PERKr.NS, Setfy. Oct. 7'h, 1843. Upon motion ihe convention resolved iteelf into a Senatorial convention by calling Curran Bradish to the Chair, and appointing Paul Tflbor Secretary. When it was moved by L. P. Perkins thai we proceed to nomínate Senators from the county of Monroe and Lenawee. viva voce. Whereupon on motion Thomas Tabor, of Adrián. Lenawee Connty and Isaac Lewis of the Monroe, Monroe county, were unanimousJy nominated Senators to represent the Second Senatorial district in the next Legislatura.
