Welcome to Ann Arbor's Cohousing Community. At a time when much of the middle class America converses in cyberspace, cocoons in home theaters, and keeps moving up & out to bigger homes, we offer a scaled back lifestyle by combining home ownership, sharing the land and & building with a layout developed by residents and our professional design team to bring people together.

How we will look: Townhouse clusters surrounded by green apace. Cars are secondary to "neighborhood" - so the "streets" are for tricycles, walking, playing and easy conversation. Outdoor gathering spots with benches & play equipment. Homes with private living space in back; kitchens and porches in front to foster casual interaction with neighbors. In the center of it all, a large community building with a dining hall for optional shared dinners & brunches, lounges, child care facilities, a teen room and romper room, library, outdoor hot tub, workshop areas, exercise room & a guest suite.

Specifics:

  • Jointly owned 18 acres of wooded land & ponds just west of Ann Arbor.
  • 40 privately owned clustered dwellings, with full basements, 1-3 bedrooms starting at under $100,000.
  • Ann Arbor schools
  • Easy access to expressways.
  • Only 11 units left.
